How to cook our frozen pizzas & more
Frozen Pizza:
1) Remove all the packaging
2) Let the pizza thaw for a couple of minutes (whilst still keeping it covered with a tissue or a net). (Tip: Just touch the 'outer crust' to see if it has thawed nicely, once its a tad soft, it's just right to go in the oven.)
3) Switch on the oven so it heats up. We would suggest checking out the specific instructions/settings of your respective oven. Some instruction booklets have a specific setting and time for frozen pizzas!
4) Once your oven has reached the desired temperature, just pop pizza in oven and check from time to time to ensure that the cheese and ingredients do not overcook.
5) Cut and enjoy! Many friends love to also eat our pizzas prior to their main meal, as an appetizer, sliced on a large plate to share!
Pastizzi, Party Items & Pies:
1) Remove all packaging (apart from the aluminium tray for the pies and Timpana, that is).
2) Let them thaw for a couple of minutes (whilst still keeping them covered with a tissue or a net). Tip: Just touch the 'outer pastry crust' to check if they have thawed adequately. Once they're a tad soft, they are typically ready for baking.
3) Switch on the oven so it starts heating up. We would suggest checking out the specific instructions/settings of your respective oven. Some instruction booklets have a specific setting and time for frozen pies!
4) With the exception of the pies and timpana, place the Maltese pastizzi and/or party items on baking paper + your usual metal tray.
5) Once your oven has reached the desired temperature, just pop the items in the oven and check from time to time to ensure that the outer pastry has a nice 'golden' colour!
6) Pull out of oven, carefully remove from baking paper or aluminium tray, enjoy!
Golden rule:
Always preheat oven, never place our food items in oven whilst it's still heating up. You'd be surprised what a difference such does to the final taste and crispiness of the product :-)
